Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies set when you visit vortexestimating.com, what they do, and how you can opt out. This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We also use comparable technologies (pixel tags, local storage) for the same purposes described here. We refer to all of these as cookies for simplicity.
2. Cookies we set
Strictly necessary
Used to deliver the site you requested and to remember settings you choose. The site cannot function without these. They do not require consent under U.S. or U.K. rules.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*)
We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-SGSS2C5FLW) to understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. GA4 stores a randomised client identifier; we do not store IP addresses. Data is retained for 14 months by default. Google's privacy notice: policies.google.com/privacy.
Session recording & UX — Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity (project xcvn2swiv3) to record anonymised heatmaps and session replays. Clarity masks form input by default and we do not enable text or password capture. Microsoft's privacy notice: microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Third-party CDN — Cloudflare
Cloudflare serves the site and may set a __cf_bm cookie to identify malicious bot traffic. It expires within 30 minutes and is essential for security.
3. How to opt out
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. For GA4 you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also support Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC); we honour GPC where applicable law requires it.
4. Updates
We may update this Policy as the tools or laws change. The "last updated" date above tells you when the current version took effect.
